Wine and war is a subject close to my heart. I had been studying it when I stumbled across the book of the same name. What a story about the Nazis and the French sparring during the Nazi occupation during World War II. The detail that Don and Petie were able to convey as to the punches and counter-punches over the wine trade is inspiring and telling. This is a must-know story and a must-know part of wine history.
